Grayscotland won the account from Glasgow incumbent the Hub in 2005. The client wished to have a more magaziney feel in an A4 format for it’s bi-monthly events guide. The result is a happy combination of clear listings with a user friendly ‘magaziney’ format as per original brief.

Cover for ‘OILWORK’, a 148 page full colour art book
covering the 15 years spent by artist Sue Jane Taylor covering the oil industry in the north of Scotland in prints, etchings and paintings. The book was launched at an exhibition of Sue Jane Taylor’s works in August 2005, Aberdeen. OILWORK is published by Birlinn Publishing.

The gallery was holding an impressive opening at Cork Street in London and wished to have an impressive looking catalogue of works to hand. The result - a clean cover in keeping with the gallery’s identity and inside, a sharp black and white feeling according to the artists’ styles.

The client wished to create a vibrate, visually noticeable publicity look completely different from the previous year, showing a sample of the films available. The Film Festival was a great success in the end, with the image running across banners, posters and of course, the brochure.
